Common questions

Answers that make care feel less unknown.

If you do not see your question here, our team is happy to help by phone or email.

Ask our team
What conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, PTSD, OCD, and more, in teens and adults ages 13 to 75.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes. We offer secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth appointments across California. Many patients complete their entire care plan remotely.

Can you prescribe medication?

Yes. Susan K. Miller is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who can prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.

What ages do you see?

We see teens and adults ages 13 to 75. We do not see children under 13. In California, patients ages 12 and older can consent to mental health treatment independently, though for teens we usually involve a parent or guardian.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancelling with less than 24 hours' notice is charged a $150 fee. After 3 missed appointments without notice, patients are discharged from the practice.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept several major insurance plans and offer self-pay options. Contact our team to verify your coverage before your first appointment.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Complete your online intake forms and screening questionnaires before your visit. Your provider reviews these in advance so your appointment time is focused on care.

Can you work alongside my therapist?

Yes. We frequently collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.

A note about urgent support: This site is not an emergency service. If you or someone you know may be in immediate danger, call or text 988 or call 911.
